Rick rabuck
Founder and Executive Creative Director
Rick is the Executive Creative Director of Rabuck I Stranger, and of its subsidiary company, Current, specializing in marketing communications for socially responsible organizations. Rick was born in Miami and spent stints in his early career as an Art Director on both the client and agency sides.
In 1987, Rick founded The Rabuck Agency, starting with a single drawing board in his garage and $300 in a bank account. During the past two decades, he has expanded the agency from a creative-driven boutique to a full-service integrated communications company, while never losing sight of the agency's creative heritage.
Through his collected experience, Rick has developed a systematic method for deriving strategy and product positioning. Called the I.D.E.A. System, it is based on the assumption that everything we think we know might be wrong and should be questioned and tested. This process of interrogation, development, engineering and action takes a hard look at both our client's problems and opportunities.
Rick has been instrumental in the creation of successful brand identities
and integrated campaigns across a multitude of sectors, from travel and
tourism to consumer electronics, retail, fashion, healthcare, financial,
technology and non-profits. His experience encompasses a diverse roster of
accounts that includes; Arco, Abbyy Software, California Pizza Kitchen, The
Director's Guild of America (DGA), Edna Valley Vineyard, Sanyo, Fujitsu,
Panasonic, Quantum, The Oceana Hotel Santa Monica, The Peninsula Beverly
Hills, The Q Collection, The Santa Barbara CVB, The Santa Monica CVB,
Symantec, UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and Wells Fargo Bank.
